Uipath Like selectors
I had explored OpenRPA sometime back... After last November or so I have not done much work in OpenRPA... So not sure about latest advancements. OpenRPA had some issues with browser get elements in my system..... So remember reading some plans about Uipath like selectors in OpenRPA.... What happened to it? Is that plans shelved?

It's there now. Under recorder plugins -> windows per default there is now a setting called Search Descendants
If recording with this on, all windows selectors will have
in the selector, telling the robot this selector allows "short" selectors .. So instead of expecting full tree where the robot goes though each element in the selector tree and expects are corresponding UI tree, you can now let the select start by search the entire UI tree for 1 element and then match elements from there.
This will be slower in UI's with a lot of UI elements but for most day-to-day tasks/applications this works quite well (and can often be faster too )
The recorder it self will not "shorten" the selector ( like uipath does), you need to remove the parts you don't need, but you now have the option to "just search for a button that says 'ok'" instead of having the whole tree mapped and maybe needing to fine tune each part ( like in some WPF applications where automation id keeps changing )
This post is a little bit old, but still relevant

And reading your post again I realize I answered the wrong thing.
Sorry can you explain what an "uipath like" selector is for browsers ? As far as I know, uipath uses xpath just like openrpa does ?
